9/15- Watercolor Lab w/Glenn Davis

          "A free Watercolor Laboratorium" from 6-8:30 pm. 

 Glenn W Davis, local watercolor artist, will demonstrate one technique and one method. Learn how to use a masking technique to create dynamic watercolors. You will use a color wheel method to organize, investigate and use different color palettes. There will be a Q & A as well. So bring your supplies & questions.


 9/22- Weaving Dreams in Oaxaka- New novel by Karen Samuelson

           Come hear about the magical city of Oaxaca, Mexico and the novel's unique characters whose paths cross there. This is a free Show and Tell event. The novel will be available for purchase and the author will be happy to sign your copy.

9/29- The C#s – a small jazz combo

The core players are Tino D’Agostino, award winning bassist and Arlington High School Musical Director. The always amazing recording artist Louise Grasmere, vocals and percussion. And Peter Lehman on theorbo (lute) and jazz guitar… played unlike you’ve ever heard before. We are joined by the excellent percussionist Guy Zagami. 

We’ll be singing and playing some truly great songs and instrumental pieces from a wide variety of sources. From early tunes and ballads, to complex Bobop – all of it filled with suble harmony and sweet percussion. 

10/6- Mixed media gelli printing collage" from 6-8:30 pm. 


Marina Strauss, local artist and expressive arts therapist, will demonstrate how to use the gelli plate to create your own papers to use in your collage work. Be inspired, make time for art making and surprise yourself with what you can do!

10/13- A Box of feathers: Night of Haiku with Brad Bennett from 7-8:15 pm


After a brief introduction to haiku, Brad Bennett, award-winning haiku poet and Arlington resident, will read a selection from his newest book, A Box of Feathers, and other published haiku. Then, he will present a prompt, so you can try your hand at writing haiku!  Free event.
